please do read it. and hopefully i’ll be able to inspire some people to help out. thanks!
a little overdramatic i know, but i do believe this will be my last post here… (if i can help myself…) it feels like, im leaving a part of me… boohoohoo.
i guess it’s inevitable. i’ve been trying to create a weddingannouncer these past few months, and i already did actually, but im really having a hard time maintaining two blogs, so i decided to create just one blog in blogger (my original blog sponsor hehe) plus, you will rid of pesky friendster emails telling you that "Candy has updater her blog" hehehe.
well, it’s been nice blogging here. do visit my new blogsite. http:.//kendznilui.blogspot.com
ciao!
candy was here! ;p
been noticing that friendster has been quiet these past few days, no new added photos of friends, not much blogs to read. but there are some messages from friends that i didnt get to reply! so sorry!!! rose and che, sorry!
been busy with work lately. kapuy. but i guess it’s better than doing nothing and thinking of things i shouldn’t be thinking or getting bored and doing things that i shouldn’t be doing like shopping coz im down to my last hundred hehe.
been trying to keep fit. last week went to the gym twice, two days in a row. i have confirmed that i am out of shape. i was breathless, my muscles ached and i have little to no endurance at all! hahaha… saw lots of things i shouldn’t have seen in the locker room. philip, you’re really in the wrong locker room dude! lol!
been trying to be active in work. joined the badminton activity last saturday. it was great. played for one hour straight! feels a bit weird that im pairing with an old guy instead of my usual partner-in-crime emil… but still enjoyed it a lot! missed badminton sooo much!
been trying to lose weight… we’ll see how it goes.
been keeping in touch with some friends thru chat… for those who have not discovered gmail. please. do. it’s the only chat facility that is allowed in the office so if you have time, please.
been catching up on sleep. seems like every chance i get, i sleep. hehehe…
been watching movies…
been thinking… about a lot of things. about all sorts of things… my mind is so clouded that im not sure if im still thinking straight.
been reading tuesdays with morrie. reading it one chapter at a time… too sad a story for me… cant bear reading it in one sitting. but i do believe it’s a nice read.
that’s it! been nice blogging again.
i cant think… i dont know how to start this blog. im still feeling sad and disappointed, but not extremely, just a bit. and i think i deserve to feel a little. dont you think?
i woke up with my phone ringing. it was lui… i knew something went wrong. my first thought was that the cheque didnt go through Clarice’s bank account and we had to postpone our reservation for coconut palace, but i was wrong. (background: clarice is the very best wedding coordinator a person can have! coconut palace is the reception venue we were eyeing for)
were eyeing for… because we found out that, even as early as we have started with our preps, someone still beat us in reserving our wedding place, on our wedding date, on our wedding time.
argh!! and i get comments from people that im too paranoid and it’s too early to start with preps. i endure it. i try to ignore them. but now this??? this was what i was trying to avoid from happening but it still did.
oh well… i guess i have to go back to the old drawing board and start from scratch… research research research.
good thing i have clarice. i think hiring her is one of my better decisions for this wedding, if i can say so myself.
clarice is an angel. when she found out that CP is not available anymore, she went straignt to intramuros to find a different venue. she even called me (long distance!) just to check up on me, to make sure im alright and to give a short prep talk: "we will find the best venue yet. promise!"
i guess it’s just not meant to be… i was still having doubts about coconut palace until the last minute so i guess it was really not for us. but it’s really a beautiful place for a garden reception like we wanted. beautiful sunset! but hay… cant think of that anymore.. huhuhu
hope we can find something much better. a-ja! fighting! (oops… too many korean teleseryes.) haha
practice makes perfect…
im still trying out some pictures but here are some i like!
this is my favorite shot yet! cheryl and i were walking in bugis when i saw this peculiar and interesting structure. i knew i just had to take a photo of it! plus i love how clear the sky is.
love this!!!
dona B’s new ipod! trying out macro shots. i think this is good enough since you can see the song playing. haha
another macro shot.
we went to watch click! i cried. a very touching movie.
it’s Singapore’s National Day next Wednesday thus, the flags. actually flags are all over the place! but this one is the most interesting!
that’s it for now. still need to practice. im still a shy photographer. ;p
i just realized that pictures tend to be blurred when lights are low. hehe. i was really getting pissed last night because all the pics i took were blurry. argh! but then, i guess that’s normal. or is it? hay need to practice some more i guess.
anyway, here are some pics i took today.
as you can see philip is my favorite subject. camera shy he is not. hehehe
eto la lang. this is the only part of my room na hindi magulo. sorry! just came from bangkok e. excuses excuses… hihihi
philip: pasimple. kunwari di nakapose.
si philip ulit - still posing. koya - caught off guard.
view from my bedroom window. beautiful!
will try to take other pictures. right now, im still practicing with portrait and scene shots. i love taking scene shots/sceneries!
will try moving and macro shots soon.
let me begin by saying that i’ve never had so much fun and that it’s about time i enjoyed some of the money im earning for myself! (though im still in shock with my latest purchase…)
aimee and i went to bangkok last week for a training. as you know, bangkok is synonymous to shopping, so it’s really no big surprise that on our first day, i already spent almost all the pocket money i brought! (that’s $300 down the drain on the first day alone!) but i never felt more satisfied and i never had so much fun since the CAAS project started! i missed shopping and i gave in to all my impulse buying!
we went to chatuchak, swan loom, patpong, mbk and we never left empty-handed. i bought lots of bags, shirts, office attire and so much more! weee…
yesterday was IKEA day… since philip is going home to the Philippines, and since there is an IKEA sale, i thought that I might as well buy some goodies to bring back home (planning to go home in October for a short visit). Describing our shopping spree in one word will be: panic-buying. we just took everything we wanted, may it be on sale or not! we spent over $650 (me, being the top spender! ngek). by the time we got to the cashier, we were laughing at ourselves! we looked like we were starting a sari-sari store or something! we had two big carts of merchandises! (lots and lots of quilts and quilt covers!)
today, we went to lucky plaza to remit some money. i only remitted a small amount since the exchange rate is really bad.
good for the philippines but really bad for OFWs like us. anyhoo, i was planning to get a cellphone (sony ericsson 810i) but changed my mind. i opted instead to get a camera. so we headed to sim lim to scout for a very cheap price for my canon ixus 800is. we found the cheapest rate yet! only $550! it was selling for at least $620 in other stores!
but… i didnt buy the canon… i almost did. but i changed my mind (again). why? well uncle asked me if i was getting the canon for someone else, i said no and that i was getting it for myself. then he suddenly had that look in his eye, as if he wanted to tell me something. so naturally, i asked.
as it turned out, he "strongly recommends" the nikon coolpix camera. i was having second thoughts since i know canon is the best brand to get for a camera, but after around 30 minutes of deciding, 10 sample shots, 1 ipod for philip, 1 memory card for philip, (wehehehe) i finally decided im going to get the nikon. it was really cool! i loved the picture. the only doubt i was having was whether it’s good enough a camera as canon. but if im going to base on the pictures/playbacks, i’d say it’s as good as canon, if not, better.
well yun lang… i hope i can sleep with the loads of money i spent in just one week’s time. that’s it. no more shopping for two months! hehehe.
CONGRATULATIONS! CPA KA NA, CISA KA PA!
