Everybody have their own obsessions… It’s just a matter of choice. Cars, makeup, food, clothes, shoes, bags, you name it. But for me, my true obsession (well, aside from makeup) is techie gadgets!

Eversince I was a kid, I was the ‘technician’ of the house. Whenever there’s a new equipment at home, the fresh-from-the-box-user manual will be the first thing I hunt down! I’ll read it from cover to cover and start operating the equipment in a snap. I dunno. It just seems that I have a knack with technology. hehe

I’ll end up as the ’support’ person at home. I’ll connect vhs player, laser player, cd players to the television set with no problem. I’ll operate any electronic appliances with no fear. I get to help my mom and sister whenever they encounter problems. A lot of times, I end up as the only person using the computer, cd player, etc! So great. (hehe)

But I guess due to the fact that I was exposed to a lot of techie gadgets since I was still in elementary school, I became obsessed with everything techie! May it be cellphones, mp3 player, CPU, mouse, monitor, PDA, digital cameras, whatever! I just love tinkering with them. It gives me such a wonderful feeling whenever I discover something new. A new feature, a new capability, whatever!

I know what you are thinking, it’s such an expensive obsession. Yup I agree. But something I am extremely proud of is that I use my own hard-earned money to appease myself. =D Right now, some of the techie gadgets that I own is a Canon Ixus S50 digi cam (it used to be a Casio Exilim but due to an unfortunate event I had to scrap it. =C). I have a Nokia 6230i cellphone which I am truly truly enjoying… I used to have Nokia 7610, but one thing it lacked was an infrared device, so it was hard for me to connect to my laptop. So I sold it and bought my 6230i, which is packed with a 1.3 megapixel camera, infrared, bluetooth and radio and it all comes in a reasonable amount. Beat that! =D I also have a Zire 72 PDA which I am currently not using but will, starting Monday. I had to buy a charger that is 220v for convenience sake!

Which leads me to my newest toy! =D I just bought myself an iPod Nano! Right now, it’s my fave gadget since it’s the cutest and most fashionable one that I have! I’m currently listening to it and wow… what can I say? It’s an IPOD! hehe why Nano? Well, it has 2GB memory space, it can store photos, it has a calendar and a to-do list feature! What more can I ask for? Oh! Oh! I forgot the most important thing!!! It’s so tiny that it can fit in your pant’s secret pocket! I love it. Although I still have six months of payments to do before I cant truly and officially say that it’s mine. =D

Whatever your obsession/likes/hobbies, go for it. Don’t let anyone hinder you from ‘pleasuring yourself.’ You work yourself so hard, that it’s time for you to reward yourself. You earned it. Life is short. Live it. Love it! I’m sure am loving mine. ;p

It’s THAT time of the year again… Yup, you know what that is. I can see all the signs. It’s unmistakeable. The time has come, it’s busy season yet again… How do I know this? Well, let me enumerate my personal signs:

1. I come to the office on time. Actually, earlier than the limit allowed for our flexi time.. umm.. did that make sense? Let me elaborate. In our firm we are given a flexible time to report to the office. We can come in at around 7-9am and leave at 4-6pm, respectively. Usually, during slack season, I arrive at around 9:30am! =D That’s early for me… but now, I usually arrive at 8am because I need to be at the client’s premises at around 9am! wah!! so in other words, only busy season and client engagements can make me wake up at ungodly hours to go to work… =(

2. I look like hell! Last night, I was reviewing the work of my staffs, I was so busy that I didn’t even take time to look at myself in the mirror. When I got home, I was so shocked at my own image! i looked like the creatures you see on those horror movies, with dark circles on the eyes and everything. My hair was a mess, and my skin was so pale! Hahaha… I looked like shit. =D

3. My body hurts. Not just literally but figuratively… My whole body is aching due to the fact that I carry a great deal of weight on my shoulder. Again, both literatively and figuratively.. ya ya… anyway, due to the fact that our firm is so at par with technology, all of us are provided with laptops (yey!) BUT there is a downside. Which is… we need to carry those laptops wherever we go! And let me tell you this, those things are not light!!! I feel like I went to the gym and lifted some weights. Hahaha at least I get some exercise!

4. I don’t get to text/call my boyfriend. Trust me, texting my boyfriend is one thing that i really really really love doing. And why not? It’s our only means of communication. Thanks to SunCellular, I can call my boyfriend 24/7 unlimited text and call.. Hehe. You see, my boyfriend is working in Davao, so the only chance we get to talk is when we text and call each other during night time… But now, I dont even have the luxury of reading his text messages. =( But I’ll make up for it. 50x more kisses for him the next time we see each other. =D

5. It only takes me 5 minutes to finish my makeup! Usually, it takes me 15-20 minutes to do my makeup. I like to make sure that all colors are blended well, my eyeliner is precise, my mascara has no smudges, etc. hey, even if you think that the ‘natural makeup’ is an easy task, believe me, it needs a lot work to pull it off! =D hahaha… actually I love makeup. I consider it a stress reliever whenever I try new shades, or i put on makeup on other people. =D

Oh, did I mention that there’s also the killer workload and the continuous overnight (which is = to PIMPLES!) hahaha. Good luck to us all those CASTAWAYS in the ‘Isla’. Hopefully, we’ll finally realize why we go through all of this… Why nga ba? ;p

there are too many things to do… too little time… i want to give up… i can’t lose my mind…

choices i make, choices i get. but why does it seem like it’s not for me to take?

nothing to do, but to live my life… not as i want to… but as the way the like… =(
