what i really need right now:

1. someone to iron my clothes for me. i no longer have slacks to wear tomorrow but i’m so not in the mood to do any ironing right now.

2. a massage… hay! it seems like ages ago since i got my last massage! i really really really really need one right now. but with $40 per 60 mins rates, duh, never mind!!! i guess i’ll just have to wait til i get back to Manila. pamper galore!

3. a visit to the parlor. my feet are a mess right now… everytime i do my own pedicure i either cut myself or do something real bad. yah yah… call me what you want, but i still prefer having my feet done in a beauty parlor. so sue me! hahahaha… foot massage………………….. hay heaven! and of course, hair cut, new hair color (still want to be brunette), hot oil, the works! (thinking of growing my hair long, but not sure yet, we’ll see… )

4. lots and lots of sleep. dont know why, but i’m beginning to start the habit of sleeping past midnight, even i have absolutely nothing to do! argh. need to get some beauty sleep. my face right now???? zits galore! which brings me to the next number…

5. my derma! help!!! only you can work wonders to my face. i really need  you right now!!! i have my own chocolate hills going on right here! help!

6. chocolate cake… hay… mudslide from coffee bean! yum yum… bad candy bad candy. we’re on a diet so i still have to wait till our fat day for that…

7. my paycheck. no more money in the bank. period.

8. hugs and kisses. from family and friends.(and dog) i miss you guys! the closer i get to THE day, the more i miss you… only two weeks to go! (and counting) can’t wait to go back home. hay i’ll savor every moment. God knows when is the next time I’ll be able to visit again.

9. TLC from my boyfriend! see you soon!!! mwah. love you!

10. prayers… going to get a surgery done. there’s a lump on my neck. want to get rid of it once and for all… pray for me.

my life these past few days bordered in depression, stress and nostalgia… i’ve been feeling blue and i am but an inch away from breaking down.

things i realized in my two months in the merlion country:

1. no man is an island: sucking up to the boss - let’s face it, without them you have no career. you’re nothing. but that’s not my style… i do not believe that i have to do some butt licking just to progress… i am valuable. and i know that.

2. familiarity breeds contempt: there are advantages and disadvantages of having a friend as your boss. but bottomline? it just makes it harder to harbor ill feelings toward that person, so in the end, you’re left with nothing but shit load of work and alone time in the lavatory crying your heart out.

3. the grass is always greener on the other side: so true… when i was back in my home country, i always thought what life could be if i stayed in singapore. but now that i’m in singapore, i think of what my life can possibly be if i move to the land down under or to the land of the free… hmmm… interesting thought, but so much to ponder on… we’ll see…

4. there is no place like home: i miss the hospitable people in the philippines, i miss the beautiful architectures, i miss the beautifull people, i miss my friends from work, i miss makati (greenbelt! masas! kare kare! yum!) and i certainly miss my family and loved ones. you’ll never realize the value of where you come from until you leave… so true.

i know i know…

i was such an ass for writing the blog about my salary and all…but i was happy and writing it was the way for me to express how happy i am…

but my "happy" world just seemed to shatter and disappear. i just received the "Total amount to be paid due to breach of contract" argh!!! crap! crap! crap! it’s so unfair… im actually thinking of not paying the amount but i dont want to play that game…

it’s so unfair… for all the hardwork i’ve given to the firm this is how they show their gratitude, by sending me a bill and expecting that i pay ASAP.

so calling to everyone reading this, alms for the poor? hehehe… joke. actually i have the money. just dont want to pay it just yet. let them wait…

hmm… it seems like this blog has been quiet for quite some time. nothing much has been happening. doing a lot at work. overtime pa din. ack! pero it’s still fulfilling especially now that I’m able to do Oracle, SAP and ACL for my first three clients (which was really rare in my previous work). thinking that i might really learn a lot. wishing that what im thinking is true. hehehe

been to the movie. actually just got home. me and my housemates watched nanny mcphee! it’s really an enjoyable movie. i liked it. well, as compared to the recent movies i have watched…

started with that jim carrey movie… i forgot the title. something about him being promoted and in just one day lost his job. sold his house, robbed groceries then you know what happened next… good to bad to worse then good again. depressing. very depressing!

then last thursday, i was so tinatamad to go to work. hehe hush hush okay? so went to the mall and looked at the IT show. (drooling there were a lot of techie gadgets! i was like a kid in toys r us!)  then got my medical certificate from the doc (migraine doc, couldn’t get out of bed. hehe) then went to watch a movie while waiting for housemates to do some grocery. watched date movie. i usually dont watch this kind of movie, i just find it so corny. but i thoughy since that dog movie (again forgot the title) already started might as well give this a try. wrong move. what a waste of money! 8 bucks for that sorry movie. it should have been called DEAD MOVIE. argh!

oh! forgot we also watched underworld evolution… i really liked the first movie. even watched it twice.  but this one. well, let’s just say it was morbid, bloody and gruesome. yuck! i really had high hopes for that one. tsk tsk. really disappointed.

anyway, going back to nanny mcphee. it’s one of the best movies i watched since i got here. really enjoyed myself. call me a kid, but i really felt like i was in a different world. kind of like watching narnia. i was sooo engrossed! hihi.

mcphee. as in mcpheever!!! American Idol.. hmmm… who do you think will win? got my bet on mcpheever, taylor, chris, elliot or that frenchie-look-a-like.(waz er name?) hehe.. sorry… really bad at names!

oh! i finally transferred to my own room. loving it! love my bedsheets! hehe…

reading the da vinci code. addicted to it. slept around 2:30am last night… still halfway to go… Jesus and Magdalene? together? interesting.

Well, off to my book! good night. tomorrow, i really should start working and finishing off my working papers! tomorrow… tomorrow…
